Pilates by Lizzie

Body Control Pilates is like hitting the reset button for your body. It helps you feel stronger, stand taller, and move with ease.
Itโs gentle but powerful, and suitable for everyone - just come as you are, and start feeling more like you again.

Hi there!
I'm Lizzie - mum of three, powered by coffee, trying to stay healthy (and awake) one chaotic day at a time.
I have a Matwork Level 3 Certification from Body Control Pilates - Europeโs leading Pilates organisation and will be completing my Pre & Post natal plus Children & Adolescents qualifications later on this year.
After having 3 children all via c-section I used Pilates to heal my body, to build up my strength and to have some time to focus on me (โฆescape from the children) and now I canโt wait to share the benefits with you.
For me, Pilates is entirely restorative. Its gentle but powerful approach make it the perfect activity for all ages and abilities.
If you have any questions please email me, I am more than happy to help.
Letโs move, laugh, stretch, and feel good, together.
See you on the mat!

FAQโs
-
Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise that focuses on core strength, flexibility, posture, and body awareness. Itโs suitable for all fitness levels and can be adapted to suit individual needs.
-
Not at all! Our classes are beginner-friendly, and modifications are always offered. Everyone is welcome, whether itโs your first time or youโve been practicing for years.
-
Just yourself, a water bottle, and a mat if you have one. We provide all necessary props (like bands, balls, and blocks), but feel free to bring your own.
-
Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows you to move freely. Barefoot or grippy socks are best - no trainers needed.
-
Unfortunately I am not currently Pre or Postnatally trained but I will be by September.
I cannot instruct you whilst you are Pregnant until then but once you are 6 months postpartum and have sign off from your doctor you are able to join one of my classes. -
This completely depends on your individual goal and I can discuss this with you when you book your first session.
-
I am not trained in rehab Pilates so if you have a new injury then I would direct you to a physio but if you have ongoing niggles then Pilates can definitely support you with this. We would need to speak about what youโre struggling with prior to you booking a group class.
-
No! Flexibility is something we work on in class, not a requirement to start. Pilates is for every body.
